Zoom! tooth whitening is so simple its almost unbelievable. Here is how it works. If you choose the office Zoom! kit, your dentist will perform the Zoom! Teeth whitening procedure. After an initial check up to make sure your gums are in a healthy state the dentist will apply a gel that contains hydrogen peroxide (a light bleaching agent) to your teeth. Once the gel has been placed over the teeth UV light is flashed over your teeth. This low heat light causes the hydrogen peroxide bleaching agent to break down and allows oxygen to enter the mouth and bleach the dentin and enamel of your teeth, so that they look whiter. Three 20 minute treatments of the gel and light application is necessary to produce the best effect, but after that you’re free to go, with your teeth looking more radiant than when you arrived.
